Long Island Tops Baltimore, 4-1
|
The Long Island Lighthouse tallied a win at Baltimore Grounds, throttling the Baltimore Bullets, 4-1. Starting pitcher Rich Baker was a big reason for his team's success. Imbart Theunen closed the door for Long Island, picking up his 3rd save of the year. The Bullets fall to 4-8 and continue their lackluster start to the 2053 season.
Jesús Serrano had a critical at-bat with one out in the top of the sixth for Long Island. He came through with a 2-run triple to put Long Island in front, 3-0.
"Winning is hard sometimes," said Lighthouse manager Michael Esposito. "This one was nice to get."
