Losing Streak Continues for Jets with 4-3 Loss to Hermit Crabs
|
Huntington beat Kennesaw at The Shell, escaping with a 4-3 win. The win in large part was due to designated hitter Robert Lander. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The winning pitcher was Colton Phillips. He tossed 100 pitches over 5.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 3 hits. Marshall Dooley earned the save for Huntington, his 19th of the year.
Rafael Carrión helped out the Huntington cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the third baseman drew 1 walk.
"The vibe's good," said Huntington manager Rodrige Margalha. "We've got to keep it going."
The misery continues for the Jets, which has now dropped 10 in a row.
