The Eugene Vandals defeated the Kennesaw Jets, 5-4, in USSL Single A action at The Riot Zone. Eugene pitcher Roberto Saldaña had a standout performance. Eugene reliever Chris Evans picked up the win, raising his record to 1-2. Victor Doubleday was tagged with the loss. The last-place Jets have lost 4 consecutive games.

Juan Sáenz was the walk-off hero for Eugene. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Vandals first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Saldaña said in his postgame press conference.
