Sáenz Hits 2 home runs in Vandals Win
Eugene and Huntington duked it out and the Vandals came out victorious.

The Eugene Vandals topped the Huntington Hermit Crabs by the score of 5-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Juan Sáenz. Sáenz went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Vandals on the day. Eugene starter Octávio Olivaies was credited with the win after throwing 76 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 1-7. Chris Evans finished the game for Eugene and earned his 11th save.

In the top of the fourth of a scoreless game, Sáenz hit a grand slam home run to put his team ahead.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Eugene skipper José Cervantes.
