Getting an impressive start from Fernando Fonseca, Alameda beat Kennesaw by the score of 3-2. Alameda reliever Spencer McCarthy picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Luis García shouldered the loss. The save went to Marcus Kelly, number 15 for him.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, Leland Orr contributed a big hit for the Airmen. With Alameda trailing 2-1, he hammered a solo home run.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Fonseca.
Alameda now has a 3-game win streak.
