The Kennesaw Jets defeated the Matlacha Manatees, 9-6. Doing his part was center fielder Claude Thomas, who was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Kennesaw reliever Ramiro Palácino was the winner. His record is now 2-2. Soh Oike took the loss. Victor Doubleday got credit for the save for Kennesaw. It was his 1st of the year.
Bei Ow-Yang, who is tied for 6th in the SA in home runs with 7, chipped in for Kennesaw with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the designated hitter had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 2 home runs, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Thomas told the Kennesaw News.
The last-place Jets are 8-40.
