Gallos Run Win Streak to 6
|
Delmarva and Huntington duked it out and the Gallos came out victorious.
The Delmarva Gallos defeated the Huntington Hermit Crabs, 4-2. Doing his part was right fielder Hughie Dook, who went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Delmarva reliever Fokke Kaspers picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Frank Wilson absorbed the loss.
Dook contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Delmarva in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Dook took a fastball from Frank Wilson and stroked the home run to left. His 7th home run of the season allowed the Gallos to leap in front, 2-1.
"This team is real focused right now," said Delmarva manager Jonah Moody.
Delmarva has run its win streak to 6 in a row.
