Shank Plays Big Role in Eugene Win
The Eugene Vandals picked up a win at The Riot Zone, knocking off the Kennesaw Jets, 2-1. Starting pitcher Eric Shank was a big reason why. Chris Evans picked up the save for Eugene, his 6th of the year. Eugene bumps their record to 9-24 with the win.

Though he didn't earn the victory, Shank kept his team in the game until the bullpen took over and the Eugene offense came through. Over 6 innings, he allowed 1 hit and 1 run, while striking out 8.

"Nice to get this one," said Shank. "Wins have been hard to come by."
