Pitcher Elliott Boyd was sensational for the Alameda Airmen in his team's 5-0 triumph over the Eugene Vandals. Boyd picked up the win, and it was well-earned. The Airmen now have a record of 16-13.

Leland Orr hit a 2-run triple off Roberto Saldaña in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Airmen in front, 2-0. Orr had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Alameda skipper Gonzalo Féliz.
