The Walla Walla Walleye beat the Matlacha Manatees by a score of 8-1. Walla Walla third baseman Stephan Tietmeyer deserved the lion's share of the credit. Tietmeyer went 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs for the Walleye. Walla Walla reliever Wilton Farrell picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jed Chandler took the loss. Walla Walla is now 18-10, while Matlacha is 15-13.

In the bottom of the sixth, Walla Walla shortstop Joe Allison put his team on top. With two out and the bases loaded, he hit his 1st double of the year. Matlacha pitcher Jed Chandler served it up. Just like that, the Walleye were ahead, 3-1.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Tietmeyer, "and then get after it again."
