In a low-scoring contest, Levittown pitcher Gary McIldowie was marvelous in his team's 2-1 win. McIldowie got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 2 hits and walked 1 over 5 innings. McIldowie allowed no runs. Felipe Cardona closed the door for Levittown, picking up his 8th save of the year.
Wayne Hankins drew 1 walk for Levittown. The 22-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Steve Stevens. It was his 5th RBI of the season.
"Both teams played hard," said Levittown manager Sal Haynes.
The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Levittown.
