The Walla Walla Walleye topped the Matlacha Manatees, 6-4, in USSL Single A action at Fuller Park. The standout performance belonged to Walla Walla pitcher and Irving, Texas, native Barry Cuda. Hemolekekeakua Makaalohi picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Tony Rodríguez was tagged with the loss. José Torres earned the save, his 4th, for the Walleye.

Bill Spillman went 1 for 3 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI for Walla Walla. In a tie game with one out in the top of the seventh, Spillman came through with a run-scoring walk. It put the Walleye in front, 5-4.

"I like how we're playing right now," said Spillman.

The loss lowers the Matlacha record to 8-6.
