|
The Walla Walla Walleye downed the Matlacha Manatees, 5-4, at Fuller Park. Shane Burge led the way, going 2-for-2 for Walla Walla. Ashley Remington got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 6.1 innings. José Torres finished the game for Walla Walla and earned his 3rd save.
Early in the game, left fielder César García had a 2-run home run for Walla Walla. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Walleye on top, 2-0.
