Bulls Squelch Torch Offense in Shutout Win
|
Belleville Bulls starter Casper Trout was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Mancelona Torch, 3-0. Trout got the win, improving to 8-8. He allowed 4 hits and walked 3 over 5.1 innings. Trout allowed no runs. Dominique Leclère earned his 6th save in 7 chances.
Joe Wilson took Jim Bird deep in the bottom of the third. His 3-run home run put the Bulls on top, 3-0. In all, Wilson had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
