Generals Snag 4-2 Win
|
Washington Generals starter Todd McGregor pitched a strong game against the Mancelona Torch at Torch Field, leading the Generals to victory, 4-2. Bill Joseph closed the game out for Washington, earning his 12th save. The Generals sport a record of 28-48.
Washington used the clutch hitting of Júlio Santana to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Generals ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"I just made my pitches," said McGregor, "and the ball kept missing the bat."
