Generals Earn 5-4 Win Versus Yellows
The Washington Generals topped the Yucca Valley Yellows, 5-4, with right fielder Júlio Santana playing a big role. Santana was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 for the Generals in the win. Larry Hodge picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-0. Sébastien Ferrari was tagged with the loss. Bill Joseph, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 11th save.

Washington took a 5-4 lead on Martín González's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which González hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Yucca Valley pitcher Sébastien Ferrari shaking his head.
