The Caldwell Chiefs topped the Alaskan Bush Pilots, 7-3, in M3L Single A action at Bush Pilots Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Caldwell pitcher Rodney Craig. The Chiefs, at 25-27, sit in 6th place in the Menard's A.

Caldwell took a 5-3 lead on Thomas Spencer's 9th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Spencer hit in the top of the seventh, left Alaskan pitcher Shunso Kobayashi visibly frustrated.

"You've got to ride the highs and the lows in baseball in order to succeed," Spencer told the Caldwell Observer. "Right now I'm feeling good, but that don't mean squat for tomorrow."
