Generals Top Bush Pilots, 7-0
|
Milo Payne was a vital contributor to the 7-0 Washington victory over Alaskan. The Generals third baseman went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The 10th-place Generals have a record of 17-23.
Payne had a big hit for Washington with two out in the bottom of the third. With Washington leading 2-0, Payne hit a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Generals up, 5-0.
In comments to the Washington Daily News, Payne admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
