Chiefs Topple Bulls, 4-1
|
The Caldwell Chiefs beat the Belleville Bulls, 4-1. Caldwell pitcher and Kokomo, Indiana, native Theodore Cross led the way. After today's action, Caldwell sits at 13-14, while Belleville falls to 10-17.
Roberto Bernard made an early impact for Caldwell when he stroked his 3rd triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which came with one out in the bottom of the second, put the Chiefs on top, 3-0.
"I like what I saw today," said Caldwell manager Kevin Fields, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
