Gulf Coast Turbeaus starter Alastair Lewis turned in an exceptional performance against the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles at Mobile Home Park, resulting in a Gulf Coast win, 3-2. Gulf Coast reliever Otis Luhgow picked up the win, upping his record to 4-4. Geoffrey Da Costa was saddled with the loss. The 7th-place Turbeaus are 43-55.

The Turbeaus relied on left fielder Alec Clay for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

During his postgame press conference, Turbeaus manager Mike Norman told reporters that he expected a tight game from the get-go. "This had the potential to go down to the wire, and it certainly didn't disappoint," he said, later quipping, "it might've been a little less nerve-racking if I had been watching the game from my couch!"
