Krewe Win Again, Streak Now at 12
|
The Crescent City Krewe topped the Virginia Beach Whales, 9-6, in USPL Double A action at Field of the Krewe. The standout performance belonged to Crescent City left fielder and Menomonie, Wisconsin, native Kevin Swanson. Dennis Sims was credited with the save for Crescent City, his 8th of the season. With the victory, the Krewe upped their record to 57-39.
In the bottom of the first inning, Edward Panther contributed a big hit for the Krewe. With Crescent City trailing 3-0, he hammered a 3-run home run.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said Krewe manager David Martínez. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
