The Crescent City Krewe topped the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 6-5, in USPL Double A action at Field of the Krewe. The standout performance belonged to Crescent City pitcher and Highland, Illinois, native Rock DeVote. Reliever Jerry Gray picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Luis Martínez took the loss. Dennis Sims collected his 6th save.
Wu-ti Huang chipped in for Crescent City, stroking a crucial 2-run single in the bottom of the seventh inning. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 4. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"It's always extra special to win at home," said Huang.
The wins continue to add up for Crescent City, with the latest making it 8 in a row.
