Martínez goes 3-for-4, Leads Thunder Hawks to Win
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks thumped the Billings Polar Bears, 9-1, at The Igloo. Jorge Martínez was a big reason his team got the win. Martínez was 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Sergio Rocha nailed down his 1st save. With the win, Ft. Polk South goes to 36-51, while the Polar Bears fall to 42-45.

In the first inning, Martínez had a run-scoring double for Ft. Polk South. It was his 12th double of the season and put the Thunder Hawks on top, 1-0.

In comments to the Ft. Polk South Observer, Martínez admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
