The Billings Polar Bears did just enough to sneak past the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, 2-1, at The Igloo. Billings pitcher Ramón Gómez, in particular, had a standout performance. Jack Autry, now 1-4, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 2 and walking 2. The 4th-place Polar Bears now have a win-loss record of 42-44.

The Polar Bears were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when right fielder Chad Valdés turned a full count fastball from Dylan Ziersch into a 2-run double. The walk-off double electrified the The Igloo denizens and sent the Polar Bears home with a thrilling 2-1 win.
