The Virginia Beach Whales beat the Gulf Coast Turbeaus, 4-2, at Mobile Home Park. Virginia Beach second baseman John Robinson had an outstanding performance. He went 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Peter O'Farrell sewed up the save, his 19th. Virginia Beach occupies 8th place in the Premier AA at 34-46.

The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Robinson delivered big-time for Virginia Beach, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Jim Mack. The game-changing hit put the Whales on top, 4-2.

Robinson called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
