Morris, Godfathers Too Much for Bush Pilots
The Pontiac Godfathers picked up a win at Pontiac Copperdome, taking down the Alaskan Bush Pilots, 8-1. Starting pitcher Chris Morris was a big reason why. Morris, the winner, moves to 4-0. He threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 10 and giving up 2 walks. The win gives Pontiac a record of 10-9.

The Godfathers got an important contribution from left fielder Tim MacPherson, who in the bottom of the third knocked a 2-2 sinker into left for a solo home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Godfathers ahead, 3-1.

"It's a mindset," said Morris. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
