Mercer Island Makes It 7 Straight with 6-4 Win
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks got a superb performance from pitcher Héctor García, but the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles still won the game, 6-4. García threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. Geoffrey Da Costa earned save number 6 this season. The Screaming Eagles improved to a lofty 64-16.

Mercer Island used the timely hitting of Francisco Pérez to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Screaming Eagles on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I like the roll we're on right now," said Pérez after the game.
