Gulf Coast Turbeaus starter Eduardo Sánchez was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Virginia Beach Whales, 4-3. Gulf Coast now sits at 35-44, while Virginia Beach falls to 33-46.

The Turbeaus got a big at-bat from catcher Willie Norris. For the game, Norris went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Gulf Coast a 4-1 lead.
