Polar Bears Keep Streak Alive with Late Rally
|
The Billings Polar Bears took Gulf Coast pitcher Eduardo Sánchez's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Igloo. The final score had Billings getting past the Turbeaus, 4-1. Sánchez went 6 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 3. Mo Huang recorded his 17th save for Billings. The 6th-place Polar Bears have won 4 straight.
Had Adrián Herrera not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Herrera hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Polar Bears.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Herrera said.
