The performance of Ken Trowsdale proved critical in helping Gulf Coast beat Ft. Polk South, 10-6. The Turbeaus right fielder went 2-3 with 2 doubles and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Getting the save was Otis Luhgow, his 17th. The win makes Gulf Coast 29-39.

Eddie Clark contributed to the Gulf Coast win. The 24-year old right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the bottom of the first. For the game, Clark went 2 for 5 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Mike Norman.
