Thunder Hawks Lose By a Run at Gulf Coast, 2-1
|
Starting pitcher Alastair Lewis was a major factor in the 2-1 Gulf Coast Turbeaus triumph over the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks. The win was credited to Mario Noceda in relief. His record improves to 3-5. Héctor García took the loss. The 9th-place Turbeaus have a record of 28-39.
Ken Trowsdale was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI for Gulf Coast. The 22-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Mazhar Saglam. It was his 28th walk of the season.
"We had a good game plan," Lewis said, "and we were able to execute it."
