Yellows Lose By a Run at Niagara Falls, 4-3
|
The Niagara Falls Expos picked up a win at Waterfall Park, knocking off the Yucca Valley Yellows, 4-3. Starting pitcher Kai-ge Yo played a key role in the triumph. In 7 innings, Yo surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Christian Malone picked up the save, his 2nd.
Making an impact for the home team was Gabriel Vásquez. In the bottom of the sixth, the 21-year old second baseman had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 4-1, Expos.
Vásquez expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
Yucca Valley falls to 12-4.
