Marks Bangs Out 5 Base Hits
|
All game long, Asheville's Curt Marks was rattling the walls at Thunder Hawks Ballpark and banging out base hits against the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Highlanders had a 7-2 victory.
Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 28-year-old shortstop said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this."
Curt Marks singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Posting a .235 batting average to date, Marks has 3 home runs and 16 RBIs.
