The Crescent City Krewe topped the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 6-3, in USPL Double A action at Mercer Island Grounds. The game was highlighted by the performance of Crescent City pitcher Sylvain Maire. Greg Carter came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 4-1. The win gives Crescent City a season record of 33-24.

Crescent City used a timely hit from Albert Martínez to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Krewe ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Martínez. "And not try to do too much."
