The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles put together a convincing win at Mercer Island Grounds, defeating the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, 12-3. Brian Neame was one of the hitting stars. He was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for Mercer Island. The Screaming Eagles boast a remarkable 40-10 record.

The Screaming Eagles got a big hit from shortstop Noel Higgins. In the bottom of the sixth, Higgins pounded a run-scoring double to right. His 5th double of the season put the Screaming Eagles ahead, 5-3.
