Screaming Eagles Deal Highlanders 9-1 Defeat
|
Mercer Island starter Tai sun Rang kept the Asheville hitters in check, while his team cruised to a win, 9-1. The Screaming Eagles saw their win-loss record go to 37-10. At the same time, the Highlanders fell to 23-24.
Milo Hamilton had an important at-bat with two out in the bottom of the third, when he hit a 2-run double. His 12th double of the season put Mercer Island on top, 4-0.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Hamilton told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
