Polar Bears Rally For 6-3 Win
Mark Howell was a vital contributor to the 6-3 Billings victory over Mercer Island. The Polar Bears catcher was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Billings reliever Larry Pulsifer picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Paul Hays absorbed the loss. Billings is now 20-19, Mercer Island 31-8.

Howell had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Polar Bears went on to win.

In postgame comments to the Billings Today, Howell said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
