Screaming Eagles Suffer 3-1 Loss to Turbeaus
|
Gulf Coast got a strong outing from Alastair Lewis as the Turbeaus defeated the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 3-1, at Mobile Home Park. Lewis got the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 2 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. Lewis allowed 1 run. With the win, the Turbeaus have a record of 13-17.
Early in the game, second baseman Ángel González had a 2-run double for Gulf Coast. It was his 6th double of the season and put the Turbeaus on top, 2-0.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Gulf Coast manager Mike Norman said.
