Bush Pilots Edge Idaho Falls in Pitching Duel
Idaho Falls got a terrific performance from pitcher John Barnard, but it wasn't enough to beat the Alaskan Bush Pilots. Alaskan won the Bush Pilots Park contest, 1-0. Barnard threw 7.1 innings of 2-hit ball for the losing team. Jorge Flores earned the win for Alaskan. He lasted 7 innings, allowing no runs on 5 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 2-0. The save went to Michael Humphreys, his 4th this season.

In the bottom of the second, Cooper Dupont hit a solo home run. The 2nd home run of the season for the Alaskan right fielder put the Bush Pilots on top, 1-0.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Dupont told the Alaskan News.

Alaskan now has a record of 6-4.
