Field of the Rawhides was the site for USPL Double A action featuring the Squirrel Hill Pierogis and Ithaca Fighting Imps.

The Ithaca Fighting Imps stopped the Squirrel Hill Pierogis, 10-1, at Field of the Rawhides. The Fighting Imps got a big game from Marc Porter, who went 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Shigetoki Kato got the win, improving to 2-0. He worked 7.2 innings, giving up 1 run on 7 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 4.

Ithaca used a well-timed hit by Bob Fox to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Fighting Imps ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"We'll keep our chins up and get ready for the next game," said losing manager Aaron Barnes.

The 4th-place Fighting Imps improved to 13-13.
