Yellows Rally For 1-0 Win
|
Yucca Valley beat Holy City on the strength of starter Steve Green's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 1-0. Holy City now is 3-6.
Yucca Valley took a 1-0 lead on Gonzalo Ordóñez's 3rd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Ordóñez hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Holy City pitcher Horst Snel shaking his head.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Green told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
