The Pontiac Godfathers downed the Niagara Falls Expos, 4-2, at Waterfall Park. The Godfathers were led by Alejandro Rivera. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. With the loss, Niagara Falls drops to 2-2.

The Expos had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Godfathers going into the top of the second inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old right-handed pitcher Chris Morris came to the plate. Morris hit a 2-run home run on a first pitch changeup from Niagara Falls hurler Arnie Lucas. It was Morris's 1st home run of the year.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Pontiac manager Allen Yohemas.
