Providence rode a decent outing from starter Jack Peters to victory over the Pine Island Dolphins. The final score was 6-4. At 55-46, the Pilgrims claim 5th place in the Silver AA.

The Dolphins had been locked in a 4-4 tie with the Pilgrims going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old second baseman Ray Reed came to the plate. Reed hit a 2-run double on a 2-0 fastball from Pine Island hurler Brent Richardson. It was Reed's 19th double of the year.

Reed told a Providence Today reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
