Dolphins Win at Bethesda, 5-3
|
Pine Island pitcher Brent Richardson did his part in helping his team beat the Bethesda Atoms, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Richardson went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 3. His record improves to 9-4. Bethesda has now lost 4 consecutive games.
Pine Island used the timely hitting of Pablo Bazarte to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Dolphins ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
