Chesapeake used a superb performance from starting pitcher Xavier Manning to down the Marquette Miners, 6-0. Manning, the winner, moves to 2-3. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 1 walk. The 4th-place Cangrejos Fantasmas go to 42-38.

The Cangrejos Fantasmas got an important contribution from catcher Abram Kavalerov, who in the bottom of the first hit a fastball into left-center for a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Cangrejos Fantasmas ahead, 2-0.
