The St. Petersburg Thunder and Pine Island Dolphins were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Behind the hitting of Erik Willard, the Pine Island Dolphins stopped the St. Petersburg Thunder, 9-1. Willard belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Dolphins. Arturo Pérez, the winner, improved to 2-6. He held St. Petersburg to 1 run on 3 hits over 5.1 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts.

Jorge Reyes helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 3-0, Dolphins.

In comments to the Pine Island Observer, Willard admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
