Guinea Pigs Lose at Home, 4-1, to Providence
|
Providence Pilgrims starter Alje Anraad was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs, 4-1. José Márquez, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 10th save. At 22-25, the Pilgrims find themselves in 7th place in the Silver AA.
Providence relied on the hitting of James Hall to pick up the win. The center fielder ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the seventh inning to put the Pilgrims on top, 2-0. For the game, Hall had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Anraad told the Providence Today.
