Dolphins Saddle Miners with 4-0 Loss
|
Pitcher Alfredo Contreras was sensational for the Pine Island Dolphins in his team's 4-0 triumph over the Marquette Miners. Contreras picked up the win, and it was well-earned. The Dolphins improved to 23-22.
Helping the Pine Island cause was Sean Knight. In the top of the first, the 22-year old catcher had a run-scoring walk to make the score 2-0, Dolphins.
Knight called winning a team effort. "It's not the same guy every time," he said. "It's the sum of the parts."
