Broomfield Plays Big Role in St. Petersburg Win
|
Colm Broomfield was superb against Bethesda. The right-hander, who leads the SAA in wins with 5, had a curveball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Thunder victory. The score was 4-0. The slumping Atoms have dropped 16 in a row.
Broomfield, who leaned on his curveball, allowed no runs on just 3 hits over 6.2 innings for the Thunder. For the most part, Bethesda hitters were simply overmatched.
"We had a good game plan," Broomfield said, "and we were able to execute it."
