Behind a solid performance from catcher James Bradley, the Bethesda Atoms defeated the Marquette Miners, 5-3. Bradley went 1 for 1 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 3 times for the Atoms. Brent Allen picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 4 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 1-2. Ryan Burton finished the game for Bethesda and earned his 1st save.
Adrián García helped out the Bethesda cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the designated hitter drove in one run.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Bethesda manager Tabor de Maria. "It's usually not just one thing."
